Marlene Ortiz

Marlene joined Studio Woodroffe Papa in 2025. Marlene has over 10 years’ experience delivering small- to large-scale residential and mixed-use schemes, from concept through construction; masterplans, public realm strategies, and resilient landscape designs across Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. Marlene Holds a Master’s in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association, London (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción in Paraguay.

Co-founder of 2552 Architecture and Kwel Urbanism in Paraguay; ventures that strengthened a design-led, context-driven approach to urban strategies. She has International experience in renowned practices, combining urbanism, architecture, and landscape to create sustainable, context-sensitive places at multiple scales—driving urban transformation through innovative and resilient design.

Recently Marlene has been working on the design of public realm and green infrastructure strategies for a large park and the transformation of the Neighbourhood streets in Al Wurood. She has collaborated on the architectural and urban design components a the centre of the park.
